Monday, I say Good Monday. No i haven't gone crazy, i am merely previewing the book of Deuteronomy....the 2nd giving of the law.
Deut ch 1-4 provide an intro for Moses' review of the last 40 years to the nation of Israel. Moses is about to die and turn the leadership over to Joshua. This is his time to be certain about his legacy. He esp wants to be certain to pass down the fear and respect of God and what He has done for the nation.
This 2nd giving of the law and history was so important and relevant, that 1500 years later,Jesus himself quote from it to fend off Satan in the wilderness (Matt ch 4:1-10).
It is still relevant and applicable to us today. Obedience is key....
